Welcome from the Principal

Dear Berney Families,

It is with great joy and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Berney Elementary.  This school holds a very special place in my heart—it's where I began my teaching career over 20 years ago, and returning now truly feels like coming home.

At Berney, we are dedicated to academic excellence and to nurturing the social and emotional well-being of every student.  My goal is to foster a warm, welcoming environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.  I believe in honoring each student’s unique gifts while supporting them through challenges with care and compassion.

Coming from a family of educators, I deeply value the connection between home and school. Strong partnerships with families are essential to helping students thrive, and I look forward to building those relationships with you.  My door is always open—I welcome your questions, ideas, and involvement throughout the year.

I’m truly honored to be part of this wonderful community once again, and I’m excited for all we will accomplish together.
