Fall 2010

Welcome back to school.  We send our warmest greetings as we begin the 2010-11 school year.  We extend a special welcome to our new parents/guardians.  We look forward to building a partnership with you. 

The school year is off to a great start.  It was so exciting to see all the smiling faces as the kids returned to school anxious to "catch up" with teachers and classmates after summer break.  

Our goal, at Berney, is to provide an environment committed to excellence in personalized learning which challenges and supports all students.   We provide a comprehensive curriculum with special emphasis on reading, math, writing, and science while maintaining a focus on respect and problem solving. 

Additionally, we believe the partnership between our school, the classroom, and home is critical to student and school success.  This is your school and we welcome your involvement.  Without your support and involvement we cannot achieve our goals.  If you have time to volunteer during the year please let us know.  We can provide opportunities for involvement in the classroom, at school events, and through PTA.  Working together enhances the environment that makes our school so special.
