School begins at 8:15 and the tardy bell rings at 8:25. If your student arrives after 8:25 please have them check in with the front office before heading to class.
The character trait of month for February is leadership, which means to guide by example with kindness and integrity. We encourage you to have your child practice this trait at home as well as at school.
Girls 5th grade Basketball plays at Prospecr Point on the 6th and Blue Ridge 7th. Come out to root for the girls as they play~see you there!
Put your art skills to the test and submit an entry in the "Splendor in the Sky" Balloon Stampede kid's art contest. The winner will have their design on official Balloon Stampede t shirts and receive a variety of prizes and privileges. Submit your 8 1/2x11" entry on white paper by February 7th to the front office. Talk to a staff member for more details or call 525-0850 ext. 201.
The Dental Sealant Clinic will be at Berney on the 9th and 10th of February. Please turn in your blue forms to your classroom teachers. The class with the most forms returned (participating or not) gets a prize!
If you have a Whitman Mentor and are planning on going on the field trip on February 10th, make sure that your signed permission slip is turned in to Becky Jo. Don't miss out on the fun!
Jump Rope for Heart is happening on February 15th and 16th. Get your pledge forms from Mr. Van Dyke and get ready to jump!
Please join the PTA for their February meeting on the 21st at 7:00 p.m.in our Library. PTA is in need of parental input for upcoming school events. Please consider attending, your vote will make a difference, your time will make things run smoothly and your membership will make our school a great place for families.
